WHAT IS A RECONCILED COMMUNITY?
The foundation of a reconciled community is a people reconciled in relationship to God. Having been reconciled to God, once and for all, through the saving work of Jesus, we are called to be ambassadors of reconciliation in every area of life (2 Corinthians 5:16-21; Colossians 1:19-20; Romans 5:6-11).
A reconciled community is any intentional environment where the active work of reconciliation is on display through God’s reconciled people. Reconciled communities will be seen with the leadership team, launch team, Sunday worship gatherings, community groups, discipleship groups, mercy and justice initiatives, after-school mentoring, block parties, dinners with neighbors, and every environment where Jesus’ ambassadors are incarnating.
